Cirencester History Festival 2024

We are delighted to be able to announce that we are part of a core group of committed businesses and community organisations helping to bring Cirencester its first History Festival later this year.

The programme includes headline talks and family events, featuring prominent authors and historians from across the UK. The festival will visit many of the brilliant venues across Cirencester, and the lineup includes Crumps Barn Studio authors Sue Andrews, Anne Buffoni and Steve Skinley, plus the launch of our history themed anthologies and various free drop-in events.

Festival producer Jess Yarrow says: It feels like the whole town has pulled together to make this festival happen … Now we just need everyone to share the news and join us for October half term – It promises to be quite a week! Please keep an eye on the website and social media for further announcements.

We’ve been keeping news of this festival under our hat for a long time and we couldn’t be more excited. More will be announced in the coming weeks, but first: save the dates!

The Festival runs from 26 October to 3 November

We’ll be sharing updates here, but you can also sign up for pre-booking news on the dedicated festival website www.cirencesterhistoryfestival.org
