We’re a friendly, approachable publisher and we’re unusual because we publish memoir which has a local and regional significance. Because memoirs and autobiographies are so personal, you may be a first-time author. We’ll discuss the publishing process with you carefully so that you can make an informed decision about what it means to have a publisher representing you.
You’ve probably written your memoir for your family and friends, but in fact, memoir and autobiographies are a meaningful record and many people in the wider reading world enjoy reading these sorts of personal stories. We proud that we celebrate personal history and you’ll find that memoir forms a large part of our yearly publishing programme.
We are selective about the titles we release, but we’re also friendly and our titles are a means of creating a lasting record. When we agree to publish a work, we undertake a thorough edit (which in the case of memoir usually means minor changes for the sake of clarity, and proofreading). We naturally handle all text formatting and editing, and cover design. We can even scan images in-house if you have access to old family photographs.
We give plenty of marketing support and we will work with you to help fulfil your dream of sharing your story with readers.

What are we looking for?
Ideally your memoir will be around 20,000 to 30,000 words. The upper limit tends to be around 60,000 words. It will be personal and important to you. You’re passionate about setting your story down in print and sharing it with your readers.
Publishing your memoir can be daunting, particularly if this is your first piece of published writing. But please don’t worry. We are dedicated to publishing books that are beautiful inside and out that you and your family will treasure. You’ll often hear our authors speaking on the radio or spot them in newspapers and magazines. We supply the mainstream distribution network so that UK bookshops can access your title easily, and also publish worldwide to Amazon and ebook. We also pay a generous rate of royalties.
