Book publishing covers a range of genres and we welcome submissions from authors of memoir, local history, poetry, children’s picture books and general fiction. We are an independent publisher operating on a collaborative basis. This means that the author shares some of the costs of publishing their work but in all other ways we operate on a mainstream basis, particularly in the way we present and distribute our titles. We’ve found that this is the best way to represent a brilliant range of authors and to ensure that you feel empowered by the path your work is taking.
We take our role very personally. We love to publish the book that perfectly suits your unique voice as an author, creating a lasting treasure.
How to get started on your book publishing journey:
The best way to submit your work is by email. We are friendly and accessible and we would love to hear from you. Ideally, your email will include a short description of your writing background and your hopes for your book publishing journey. You should also include the manuscript as a Word document or .pages file. And you are always welcome to ask any questions you may have.
Once we have received your manuscript, we’ll get back to you swiftly with our thoughts.
We are selective about the titles we publish, but we’re also very friendly. All of our authors have an original story to tell and you could be just the writer we are looking for.

What happens when we agree to publish a work?
We are committed to making book publishing easy, but we are selective about the books we represent. Each title we produce passes through a thorough editing stage, and we naturally provide all text formatting, cover design and we can even scan images (eg old family photographs for your memoir, or illustrations). Our in-house editor will work with you to give your manuscript that final layer of polish. Find out more about our approach to editing >
We offer excellent terms and we pay royalties.
Where will my books be sold?
We routinely publish in paperback for the distribution network to UK bookshops, and also worldwide through Amazon and ebook.
What about marketing support?
Book publishing and marketing are daunting but not as challenging as they may seem. We tackle each stage separately so you don’t have to deal with all aspects of your journey as a published author at the same time. We provide plenty of marketing support. We are active on social media and have plenty of experience of reaching out to the local and regional press. You have a unique to story to tell and we will work with you to help you to find the best way to share it. We give plenty of advice and we can support you with your own activities. Most importantly, you will have a publisher representing you and your book as you get to grips with all that you can do to reach your readers.
